What Stripe does for you
Your AI agent can collect payments from callers — booking deposits, service pre-pays, anything you bill for. That money goes directly to your Stripe account. EcoBoutique doesn't hold your funds; we just pass transactions through. This is called Stripe Connect.
You don't need to already have a Stripe account — if you don't, the onboarding flow creates one for you. The whole setup takes about 10 minutes.
What you'll need
- Legal business name (sole proprietors use their legal name).
- EIN if you're an LLC or corporation, or SSN if sole proprietor.
- Business address and phone.
- Bank account (routing + account number) where Stripe will deposit your funds.
- Date of birth and home address for the representative — Stripe requires this by federal KYC rules.
- Photo ID (driver's license or passport) — Stripe may ask for it to verify your identity.
Step-by-step
- In the EcoBoutique dashboard, open Settings → Integrations (or the Integrations step of the welcome wizard) and click Connect Stripe.
- You'll be redirected to Stripe's onboarding page — hosted on stripe.com, not by us.
- Stripe asks "Do you already have a Stripe account?"
- Yes — sign in with your existing Stripe email. Stripe links that account to EcoBoutique.
- No — click Create Stripe account and enter your email, password, country, and currency. Stripe will email you a verification code.
- Business details: business type (Sole proprietor, LLC, Corporation, or Non-profit), legal name, EIN or SSN, address, phone, industry.
- Representative: full legal name, DOB, home address, last 4 of SSN. If you're the sole owner, that's you.
- Bank account for payouts: routing number and account number for the business checking account. Stripe verifies via micro-deposit (instant for major US banks).
- Review and submit. Stripe may ask for additional documents (photo ID, business licence) if verification needs a nudge — watch your email.
- You'll be redirected back to EcoBoutique's Connect complete page. The status should read Charges Enabled. If it says Pending verification, Stripe is still reviewing — typically minutes, occasionally 24 hours.
After setup
- When a caller books and pays through your agent, the charge lands in your Stripe balance.
- Stripe auto-pays out to your bank on your schedule. Default is daily after a 2-day rolling hold for new accounts.
- You can log in at dashboard.stripe.com anytime to see transactions, issue refunds, and download statements.
- EcoBoutique also surfaces the same transactions inside your dashboard for convenience.
