Connecting Stripe

A step-by-step guide for business owners who want their AI agent to take payments from callers.

What Stripe does for you

Your AI agent can collect payments from callers — booking deposits, service pre-pays, anything you bill for. That money goes directly to your Stripe account. EcoBoutique doesn't hold your funds; we just pass transactions through. This is called Stripe Connect.

You don't need to already have a Stripe account — if you don't, the onboarding flow creates one for you. The whole setup takes about 10 minutes.

What you'll need

Step-by-step

  1. In the EcoBoutique dashboard, open Settings → Integrations (or the Integrations step of the welcome wizard) and click Connect Stripe.
  2. You'll be redirected to Stripe's onboarding page — hosted on stripe.com, not by us.
  3. Stripe asks "Do you already have a Stripe account?"
    • Yes — sign in with your existing Stripe email. Stripe links that account to EcoBoutique.
    • No — click Create Stripe account and enter your email, password, country, and currency. Stripe will email you a verification code.
  4. Business details: business type (Sole proprietor, LLC, Corporation, or Non-profit), legal name, EIN or SSN, address, phone, industry.
  5. Representative: full legal name, DOB, home address, last 4 of SSN. If you're the sole owner, that's you.
  6. Bank account for payouts: routing number and account number for the business checking account. Stripe verifies via micro-deposit (instant for major US banks).
  7. Review and submit. Stripe may ask for additional documents (photo ID, business licence) if verification needs a nudge — watch your email.
  8. You'll be redirected back to EcoBoutique's Connect complete page. The status should read Charges Enabled. If it says Pending verification, Stripe is still reviewing — typically minutes, occasionally 24 hours.

After setup

Troubleshooting

"Charges Enabled: false" after onboarding.

Stripe needs more information. Check your email — they'll tell you exactly what's missing.

Bank account rejected.

Double-check routing + account numbers. Ask your bank if ACH is enabled on the account.

Need to update your info later.

Go back to EcoBoutique → Settings → Integrations and click the Stripe row. It'll drop you into your Stripe dashboard where you can edit anything.

Typed the wrong business name.

Contact EcoBoutique support — we can regenerate the onboarding link so you can edit the entry.
